Make a donation to We Do The Work to support Worker Run Media
We Do The Work is pure, unapologetic, worker run journalism and we deliver. From strikes to commentary, from ambush interviews of the CEO class to getting the voice and story of working people front and center, WDTW is one of a kind. Our people all punch the clock on regular jobs which means we are an all-volunteer crew. That’s right, everything we do comes from our own wages. It’s how we build working class perspective independent of politicians, foundations, and any other group that could take us away from the hard-hitting, confrontational story-telling and organizing we have come to be known by.
We walk the walk, it’s not cheap, and we need your help.
Because we are one of the only union-affiliated, worker driven media groups nationally, we are asking for some help making this effort bigger. If you could spare a one-time donation or even a small monthly kickdown, we could take We Do The Work even further. What do your donations go to? Stuff like the following:
Cameras
Mics
Lighting
Graphic and editing software
Union dues
Not having to take endless overtime to make ends meet
All of this amounts to over $500/month operational costs. No, we aren’t the size of the Sierra Club or the Democratic National Committee or the Federal Reserve, but we do have some bills to pay.
Consider an hour’s wage to help us deliver WDTW’s one of a kind mission. Who knows? With enough help we may even get t shirts and hard hat stickers.
All the best to you,
We Do The Work
